My T-SHIRT bring all the teachers to the yard!!

Hello there, teachers!

What was that subject line about? Scroll down to 1️⃣ to see!

3️⃣ Instagram Nuggets

1. Do you know the Cat and Kite spelling rules? Sing it with me!! "C goes with a, o and u. K goes with the other two."

2. This is cute place value activity: click here

3. Some humor for those of us who had to suffer through proctoring state standardized assessments: click here

2️⃣ Teacher Tips

1. As my students are reading, I have noticed that if I give some feedback every 2 words or so, like "uh-huh," "good," "nice" it keeps them going more consistently and they read more accurately. I also make sure to correct any mistakes right away because they tend to snowball into more errors once they commit one error. This is helpful when we do our one minute reading for progress monitoring.

2. Math: Have you heard of ICT Games? They have GREAT math games! The one I did today with my students is Smoothie Maths (https://ictgames.com/mobilePage/smoothie/index.html). You have to quickly answer addition problems within 10 or 20. So it helps a lot with fluency.

1️⃣ Special Something: New T-shirts!

This has been a dream of mine for years to make these shirts! They finally exist! You can customize your own to say whatever you want. Maybe you need "preferential seating: near the door during staff meetings." Maybe you need "non-contingent sensory breaks: coffee." Or maybe for you it's "frequent reminders of expectations." 😆 Whatever it is that you need, let everyone know!

I thought April would be a good month to put this out there because it's Autism Celebration month! We all have our unique differences and you can showcase yours in a fun way with this t-shirt! Click here to buy!

Talk to you next time!
