3️⃣ Tasty Morsels πŸͺ from Instagram!

πŸ”΅ Funny because it's true: Special Ed Teacher presenting on Shark Tank

πŸ”΅ Even more funny because it's true: Teacher morning pep talk for those days when you're absolutely dreading being stuck in a windowless classroom all day.

πŸ”΅ Useful: make your own Rekenrek and learn from this lady how to teach basic facts.

πŸ”΅ Bonus fun and cuteness--2 of my favorite things in one video: skunks and Whitney Houston's "I will always love you."

2️⃣ Teacher Tips πŸ’‘ That Have Been Saving Me Lately

🟒 Have a "one-down" schedule for paraprofessionals. Create a schedule that covers the absolute necessities with one less than your full team. That way when the inevitable happens, you know what to do.

We had a period of time earlier in the year when my associates (in Iowa that's what they're called. weird.) would walk in and ask, "Are we doing the regular schedule or one-down?" I just had to say the word and everything would proceed from there.

🟒 Create some kind of system to store and easily access worksheets that your students are familiar with and can work on independently. That way, if the need arises--say, you need to deal with a behavior--you can just pull out a few pages and get everyone busy ASAP. I use a book box with folder-pouch-things in it.
